Good morning everyone! and it's a great morning here 🙂 it's my day off, the sun is shining, so it's time for another Splinterlands post before I'll head out and get some activity points to earn some money with my move2earn apps, but first things first, welcome back! I made my first post for this week yesterday, a little ahead of planning, so I'll have less work to do today. The post was made for the Social Media Challenge for this week, it's about one of the two new rulesets: the Fab Four, you can find my post here.

This weeks Battle Mage Secrets Challenge is about the Equal Opportunity ruleset, in which all monsters get the Opportunity ability, for me this means, be fast to strike first, and strike hard and also put martyr cards on tactical positions. One card really excels in this ruleset: the Drybone Raider, when you put martyr cards around him it becomes a one man army and the only thing you need to make sure is het won't get to the front so he's able to strike FOUR times every turn, he's also shattering armor so good luck in resisting him!
In smaller mana battles I like to use Usut with a martyr in front of him to get it's bloodlust started, with smaller cards in front of him to prevent he gets to the first position too soon, so he can pick off those low HP cards one by one, when he DO gets to the front, he's usually above 4 magic damage and by then he's hard to stop.

To find out how you can participate in the challenge yourself, you can find the Splinterlands post here.

The battle I want to share for this post is 14 hours old, it's a 47 mana Wild League Armored Up / Equal Opportunity battle with only the Life splinter locked out so we could pretty much expect anything from the other team, logically I would say the fast Water or Dragon teams would be a obvious choice, but a magic earth team can also do a lot of damage, and this is more likely because of the Armored Up ruleset, it's why I chose to pick Immortalis as my summoner, to protect against magic and at the same time shatter the armor to quickly kill the enemy monsters before they can kill mine.

First look at the battlefield:

Hmm... a Quora team, I'm a little salty when I see Quora because I still don't own a single copy of her on my main account despite I brawl EVERY brawl with my guild, and we usually end up within the top 3 in tier 2 brawls, in Opportunity matches she can be a real b*tch, once her bloodlust get's going she's hard to stop, hopefully my Void will limit her effectiveness somewhat, and my own boys will do enough damage to quickly kill her before she heals herself again, I do have a level advantage here, so my Grund has the Trample ability which can be pretty useful here.

My Line-Up:

  • Summoner: Immortalis - reason: Void, Shatter.
  • First position: Venari Knifer - reason: Fast and evasive, Thorns, Backfire.
  • Second position: Grund - reason: High damage Double Striker.
  • Third position: Fungus Flinger - reason: Martyr.
  • Fourth position: Drybone Raider - reason: Double Strike with two attack types.
  • Fifth position: Venari Marksrat - reason: Martyr.
  • Sixth position: Pelacor Mercenary - reason: Good damage, fast and Flying, Self Heal.

The Battle:

Round 1: A lot happened in the first turn, and it was a busy one, 38 moves! Very high damage across the board now, the other team definitely has the speed advantage, but soon my Drybone Raider will be at full strength dropping 16 damage every round, good luck healing against that Quora! She's first to fire though so she's going to get more Bloodlust right away...

Round 2: Two kills on both sides, I've got the advantage now, with one more monster alive and a lot more strikes per turn, but Quora being a force on itself, she needs to be killed fast, I think I'll be alright though, Quora will fire first but she won't kill Drybone Raider, the enemy Grund second, but he won't kill my Grund, next is my Mercenary to hit Grund and let the kill for Drybone Raider, he will have three shots left against Quora, so I think my Grund would be able to finish her off next turn.

Round 3: The Drybone Raider missed one attack, but Grund did enough damage to do the job 😊 always nice to kill a Quora team!

0.7 SPS isn't bad at all for Wild League, and a big RP amount for those nice golden chests, I got to 6 chests yesterday so that's nice, nothing special in them, but now that I upgraded from Silver to Gold, I need a lot more soulbound cards so I'm just grinding on.

You can watch the battle unfold for yourself here.

That's it for this week, it's still a bit early to get out so I'll grind a few more battles until it gets a little warmer outside, I hope to see you again on my next posts!
