The Uniswap team on Dec. 15 revealed a new tool for governance that helps users discover delegates.
- Sybil links on-chain addresses to digital identities to maintain a list of delegates, “allowing delegators to discover and engage with their community representatives”
- The goal of the tool is to help community members build meaningful influence and help smaller token holders get involved
- Delegation is a three step process -- first users sign into Twitter and connect a Web3 wallet, then they can sign a message that includes their Twitter handle using their private key
- Lastly, users have to tweet the message message and Sybil will automatically check the tweet against the signed message
- Users can review available delegates, as well as delegate or vote on governance proposals directly through the interface
- The team has tentatively listed trading, gaming leaderboards and Ethereum-based messaging as potential use cases
