Are We Becoming Too Dependent on Digital Convenience?

Life has become much easier due to digitalization. It is possible to order food, pay utility bills, purchase tickets, go shopping, and communicate with other people without even leaving our apartment. Even the smallest chores which usually take a lot of time and energy can be done in a matter of seconds.

There is absolutely no harm in benefiting from these perks. The only problem starts to arise when we get so accustomed to convenience that we find it hard to complete chores without the help of modern technologies. People tend to use their mobile devices to figure out where they should go, count something, or recall basic facts.

The digital ease provides time savings but it might as well lead us to lose our patience for routine things. We become accustomed to immediate responses, quick solutions, and availability anytime we need it. Even slightest delays may irritate us.

The other risk involves the fact that we may disclose too much information about ourselves using technology just because it brings certain benefits to us and we tend to accept all the terms and conditions blindly.

The technology itself is innocent; the problem arises when we stop asking questions about how much of it.
