Tether officials have returned $1 million to user following a mistaken transaction, as revealed by a tweet posted by Tether (USDT) and Bitfinex CTO Paolo Ardoino in early September.

• A Discord screenshot shows that the user had sent $1 million to a Swerve Finance smart contract
• Ardoino responded to the tweet, saying that if the USDT was stuck on the address, it would be possible to recover it
• The individual wrote an email to Tether as requested, and the money is expected to be returned in a few weeks
• Swerve Finance is a fork of Curve Finance; the Swerve team says the design makes for a fairer liquidity pool platform as compared to Curve
