This year I had the opportunity to do some day trips to Rimini during August and September.
Rimini is a very well-known holiday city also all over Europe and outside Europe too.
From the '60s to the '80s Rimini and the Romagna Riviera were the best-known destinations for summer tourism in Europe so German was often the most spoken language around, especially on the beaches and along the streets.
Nowadays it represents one of the best-known summer tourist destinations.
As soon as we arrived on the beach we found that someone had already passed there.

There are some days and particularly before 12 o'clock that is very difficult to take images without people.

The beaches are generally made of fine-grained sands with a lot of shells, especially on the shoreline.

There are days when with a lot of patience it is possible to take pictures without people and it can be more fun to take a bath if the sea is not very calm, but the waves are not so high to be dangerous.

Here you cannot swim: this is the lane reserved for boats

The Adriatic Sea is to the east so it is not possible to see the sun setting over the water, but it is always impressive ...

... especially if on the other side there is the Moon that illuminates the evening and the sea.

The night is coming: see you (the sea) next time.

All images were taken by me with the smartphone camera. Some of them were slightly modified to mask some people's faces.
