
Ramaria botrytis - Mushroom size 60 to 150 x 20 to 200 mm. Spherical, irregular in outline. Twig branches thinner, straight, longitudinally notched; ends of branches short, with 2-4 teeth, sharp, branch surface whitish, cream, ocher, contrasting tips, wine-red, pink, purple, with age brownish.
Stem thick, short, whitish, branching into numerous legs.
Juicy, watery, and tender flesh; whitish or yellowish; mild taste, faint, pleasant smell.
Occurrence: In deciduous forests (under beeches), mixed, less often in coniferous; grows individually or in colonies; rare, more common in the highlands. From July to October.
Value: Edible mushroom. Tasty when young.
