
Leucoagaricus leucothites - Cap 30 to 200 mm in diameter, young cylindrical closed, later hemispherical, arched, flat. Smooth, dry surface; white, sometimes slightly pinkish; in older fruiting bodies in the middle grayish or brownish coating. The margin is incurved for a long time, protruding slightly beyond the plaques, slightly woolly-squamous, in its youth with the remains of the cover. In oppressed places it may turn yellow slightly.
Lamellae dense, free; white, grayish, pink, only after drying and with age flesh red; pressed slightly red.
Stem 40 to 120 mm high, 7 to 20 mm thick, cylindrical, base thickened with club. The surface is bare, smooth, shiny, white. Young full, with age with a channel in the middle.
Permanent, white, leathery ring can be moved up.
The flesh is quite thick, young, very compact, with age elastic; unchanging or slightly pinking, yellowing. Mild taste, mushroom and fruit aroma, sometimes with a note of anise.
Occurrence: in gardens, parks, thickets, in meadows, pastures, on the edge of forests - in grassy places; found in greenhouses. It grows individually, but usually in dispersed groups; from June to November, more often in the fall. Quite common.
Value: Edible mushroom.
