Boletus luridus - The hat can reach sizes over 20 cm in diameter, yellow-orange, sometimes olive with a pinkish shade, darkening when touched.

Small leeks, yellow in young fruiting bodies, then orange-red, old age olive.

Cylindrical stem, wider at the bottom (especially in young), full, up to 15 cm high. Yellowish at the top, becoming more red down, up to carmine at the base. The entire surface is covered with a clear grid of red veins.

Flesh with a flesh-yellow hat, brown-red at the base of the stipe. Above the tubes you can see a wine-red streak. When damaged, it immediately bruises, and after a while it acquires a grayish color. Mild taste, odor not perceptible.

Raw is poisonous. It must not be combined with alcohol consumption.
