Look I have been around the block for a while now and by block I mean Splinterlands. Gladiators have not been around the block a while but they are here and they are here to stay. I recently switched over to a Guild that is more active and there by have been earning more Merits and more Merits mean more Gladius Cases.
But that is not where our journey starts today. Our Journey starts with me being lazy and not spending my Glint.
142,179 GLINT to spend
Yeah so my main account has been fighting in the WILD format with the ArchMage bot. I only really log in to that account to enter Brawl's or to harvest my land or update my land. Which is why so much Glint has accumulated.
Also it doesn't hurt that he sucks at Wild so is always in Bronze or Silver which means he usually gets onto the leaderboard each season and earns a nice bonus of 12,500 GLINT. Over the past 2 or 3 seasons I have gotten a nice little nest egg of Glint.
So based on the advice of @artofkylin and @nozem01 I decided to buy some Epic Draw's.
Epic Time
Started with 5 just to see. And obviously I needed to use Alchemy potions cause you never know..
And the 5 Epic Cards I pulled are...
I really hate Shock Trooper. When I first got him I thought he was super OP, but I quickly learned that I am not smart enough to build a strategy around a guy who actively tries to kill your own team. However I like the rest of the cards. And because I was pleased with the overall pulls I decided to double down.

And of course yes to Alchemy Potions.
And what did I get? MOTHER FREAKIN CANDY CANES...
NOT 1..

NOT 3..
BUT 4 Shock Troopers? Are you serious.
Oh and to make it even worse the 1 Gold Foil Epic I get is none other than a Shock Trooper. I hate me life sometimes.
That is until I saw a Gold Foil Shock Trooper is a $60 card... um okay
But in other good news I was able to upgrade my normal Shock Trooper and my Khazi Conjurer.
Common Time
So then I wanted a change. I have okay levelled up Archons but crappy Unit cards. So I decided YOLO and to buy 100 Common Draws now.
And seeing that it is only 15,000 Glint.. I may just start trying to max up my Common cards cause with it being that cheap why not?
Do you see that... Card #100 out of 100?
2 Gold Foils today.. This is turning out to be a OK kind of day. So why not triple down huh?
GOLD all around!
So when you are blowing through your Glint at such a rapid pace it only makes sense to then blow the rest on Gold Foil Common Cards because you just want more Gold.
That is the last of my Glint so I hope I get something good!
I don't know what I was hoping for but I am not mad with what I got. I was able to level up my Blackmoor Wild Elf so that's cool!
Upgrading Commons
I am not going to go into each upgrade but here are my current Reward Commons:

It was also at this point that I decided to check how many Merit's I had and turns out I have enough for 2 Gladius Cases!
But then when I went to open then I realized I already had 2 unopened packs as well. Sweet! 4 Gladius Cases for me to open! And 1 Nightmare pack too and no idea where that came from.
