Another Day Another Splinterlands Post!
But today is a little different. Today we are going to talk about some recent fun I had on Splinterlands. I had a free night/morning last week and decided to YOLO it and see what would come of it.
Setting the Stage
A calm rumble swept across the land. The skies darkened and the clouds started to engulf the sky. They looked angry and ready to burst, so I took shelter and hunkered down to wait out the impending Doom that was sure to come. In the dark moment, a light appeared. A smaller glimmer of hope arose from the dark, something to better help with the passage of time as I waited out the calamity that I knew was sure to come.
That small glimmer of hope was.. Splinterlands. DUH
The Task at Hand
So let's level set here. This season (and the last 2 honestly) has been horrendous for me. I feel like every season now I struggle to even get out of the Bronze League in Modern. Before I was breaking into Silver and progressing pretty decently each season and making more and more progress. Well NOT ANYMORE folks.
So with about 9 hours left in the season and with 50 energy just waiting to go, I decided to YOLO this shit and record my 50 battles. I was bored and up super late and had nothing better to do.
Be warned though, this video is 2 hours and 8 minutes long in it's entirety. But after like 5 minutes or so I realized my mic wasn't working so I had to fix that. So the beginning may be a little boring. But if you want to watch me do 50 battles and suck so hard at all of them.. then give it a watch.
I recently setup a new YouTube channel for all my web3 gaming experiences. I am going to try to post more there. But it will not just be HIVE games but all web3 crap that I get myself into.
How did it go?
I started at Rating 720.
After 50 battles.
I had a Rating of 680.
hahaha so yeah after ALL of that I sucked so bad I lost 40 Rating points.
But Wait There's More!
Because I was down in the dumps and still waiting for the eventual torrential downpour outside I decided to treat myself. I went over the WAX blockchain and was looking at things to waste my crypto on. And what did I come across?
Yup Land Plot Claims! So I bought the Floor on it for 1,500 WAX which was about $37.65. But that wasn't good enough, I WANTED MORE
So I bought a Chaos Legion Pack and a Nightmare Pack cause YOLO amiright?
BUT WAIT THERE'S EVEN MORE
Okay you caught me this next part didn't happen the same day but it did happen within a relatively close time from the rest of this article's actions. I started to setup my own Splinterlands Statistics Tool.
Now I take ZERO credit for this and it is all Beaker007. They developed this tool and maintain it and there article about it is here:
I won't go into too much detail because, well honestly it is still syncing cause I am a nooby.
But here is a sneak peek. You guys should REALLY check it out. You can run it locally on your Windows PC easily or setup a VM and run it via Docker as well if that is more your speed.
With that I will end my Splinterlands post. The next 7 days are going to be crazy and I am still trying to get myself situated for the CA release and what that means for LAND and Modern Format..
