Here we are : yesterday I wrote my first post and casted my first votes on Publish0x, and I had some time to see how it works. In this post I will tell you why Publish0x will become my main publishing platform. I say "main" because, as I said yesterday, my freshly created blog is linked to Steem via Steempress, so my faucet reviews will still be published there. Such a shame there's no bridge between Wordpress and Publish0x !
It's not all about money...
... even if the rewards system is way better than Steem. I love the fact you have a limited votes to cast per day, and also that everyone votes the same way, with the same value. Thus, newcomers can also earn some crypto, which is very hard to achieve on Steem. And I also love the voting system, where the user directly gets a part of his votes. Not that much votes per day, so you can't spam the Tip button, and a timer prevents user to spend the available votes too quickly. Oh, an important thing : on Publish0x, posts can be rewarded as long as they can be read, and not only the first week. And the rewards come immediately, not after 7 days !
Payment system is also much more user friendly than Steem. On Steem, the SP system blocks your earned STEEM, and if you want to withdraw your STEEM, you have to power down, and you receive 1/13 of your STEEM every week during 13 weeks. On Publish0x, user is paid directly on a Ether wallet. Pending withdrawals are processed every monday, with a minimum of 0.5$, which makes withdrawals much easier.
...but also UI
General UI's look and feel is also much better than Steemit, which looks a bit old to me. Steemit has not been improved since a long time, and clearly need a huge relooking. Publish0x is clear, epured, simple. And I haven't found any bot yet. Better, any way of automation is just prohibited, and could lead to a ban, and I love it !
The post editor is also much easier to handle. Powered by TinyMCE, no need for Markdown here ! Once again, newcomers will be happy ! To be honest, it could be improved with a Medium style, or get some inspiration from Gutemberg on Wordpress, but it clearly does the job !
In conclusion, I think Steemit could get inspired from Publish0x, and authors who would like to make some money from their blog posts could really find a better interest on Publish0x. An example ? in one day, my very first post earned $0.15. It took me weeks to get this on Steem... That said, Steem has other advantages I will describe in future posts !
