Making Exponential Equations Equal Using Logarithms

Math is fun and today I am going to explain how to use logarithm and natural logarithm in a fun way.

Will also gonna explain exponants. But in a fun way.

Is it hard?

If you want to learn something new, nothing is hard; you just have to try to see its beauty.

It's not hard, and basically the calculations can be done on a calculator.

Without further talking, here it is.

If you have a number, let's say 3, and an exponent, let's say ⁵, and you want to find the same exact exponent for the other number that gives you the same result for the other number.

For example:

2ª = 3⁵

Let's start:

3⁵ = 243

So:

2ª = 243

Now using common logarithms:

Log (2ª) = log (243)

a . Log (2) = log (243)

0.3010a = 2.3856

a = 2.3856/0.3010

a ≈ 7.925

2^7.925 ≈ 243

243 = 243

Or use natural logarithms:

ln (2ª) = ln (243)

a . ln (2) = ln (243)

ln (2) = 0.69315

ln (243) = 5.49306

0.69315a = 5.49306

a = 5.49306/0.69315

a ≈ 7.9248

And here it is. We calculated the needed exponent in two ways.

What does this calculation do?

It's a fun and educational way to calculate exponents. Logarithms can be used for many other purposes, but here we applied them to exponents.

And you can try with it your own calculations and see its uses.

Conclusion

Logarithm is very useful and helpful in mathematics. And here we only scratched the wall of its possibility and what it can do.

Math is fun and could teach us a lot about the world we live in without us even knowing.
