Dear Friends,
As you all know “Psychotherapy is also medicine.”- that too an integrated part of our health.
I explain this with a true recovery story
When a woman came to our session, she said only one thing:
“I have stress… depression.”
But then… her body told a different story.
She had a thyroid problem,
chronic sinusitis,
stomach ulcer.
Most people would think:
These are all physical problems.
But in psychotherapy we ask differently:
What is the burden that this mind carries every day?
So as Thyroid too — it represents anger
While talking, one thing became clear.
Just thinking about her husband…
The words he said…
Old fights…
Anger immediately rises inside.
But she can’t say it out loud.
Who does she talk to?
Who will understand?
So what did she do?
She repressed that anger.
Every day.
That trigger anger + daily stress =
A constant pressure inside.
We gave her some exercises to change that.
Instead of the old scenes that were running through her mind,
we created new emotional phrases:
• “I am safe.”
• “I am respected.”
• “What I do is valuable.”
• “There is no war inside… I choose peace.
All this cannot be felt immediately.
So
Art therapy exercises,
Meditative Practices
Video visualization exercises
Personal affirmation books
We gave them all.
A month later he came back.
The woman said: My thyroid problem is gone now
Sinus- it is difficult thought
He had sinus for many years.
When we examined him, one thing became clear:
He has a very restrictive view of life.
“This is how it should be.
“It shouldn’t be like that.
“This is wrong.
These rigid rules put a lot of pressure on the mind.
Life was always clashing with those rules.
So what did we teach him?
Acceptance.
Flexibility.
Life can happen in many ways.
We have to learn to adapt accordingly.
Slowly…
Breathing became more even.
Sinus congestion subsided.
Stomach ulcer — the fear of the future
Another reason for ulcers:
“What if?”
“Will it come back?”
“Will something bad happen?”
This what-if pattern kept the mind in survival mode.
To calm it down
we taught him to be in the present.
The body started to feel safe again.
Over time…
the ulcer symptoms decreased gradually!
It wasn’t just the medication that cured.
It was the mind that relaxed.
This is psychotherapy.
It goes to the root and works.
If the mind attacks itself every day…
The body will have no room to heal.
Psychotherapy is not just for talking.
It is medicine for the emotions.
It teaches:
• Releasing suppressed anger
• Softening difficult thoughts
• Managing anxiety
• Creating inner security
• Coming out of survival mode
If the mind is calm…
The body will follow suit.
Wishes to have a healthy body and mind!
