My 20K HP milestone: powered up 1K Hive today.
Earlier, I generally used to wait for the HPUD day to power up my Hive but recently I am not waiting for the Hive power-up day to power up due to many factors. The first factor is that due to my work priorities, I am not always able to create the post and I miss power up too on that day in a few cases I have done the Power up on the next day. Secondly, I am no more in the "eligibility criteria" of the HPUD to be considered for prizes. so holding my liquid Hive is a loss of my curation income for me.
Also spirit HPUD is to promote power up and it does not say that we should power up on only at the first of the month, we can power up any day, and the first of the month is more for solidarity and awareness raising initiatives and also helping other Hivers. So definitely, I will also like to power up on HPUD day.
My powerup of Hive is motivated by many factors and foremost is that I consider Hive at current price is highly undervalued and have lot of room for growth and expansion. Community is already nice here and it is to be fun here. Lot of dapps were created in Hive including the very successful blockchain game like Splinterlands. Other Dapps like Leofinance is also trying to attract more and more user and I think they are successful because when I visit Publish0x, I see more than 50% of popular publication by Hivers/Lions and that number is almost negligible in Publish0x two years ago.
Curation is also one of the factor that motivate me to powerup, when I am not much active, my author income dipped to the lowest and it start matching my curation income. I know it is very difficult to active every week ,creating content to have a Author income every week and I can expect it to dip to 0 also but it is not difficult to curate every day. Even if someone find it is difficult to curate everyday then Hive power can be delegated through dlease or some specific account to get rewards. Even if you do not want to delegate, then still you can follow a voting trail for the time period you are going to be inactive and you will be still able to generate curation rewards without doing much.
I am currently happy to reach my milestone of 20K and at least eyeing for adding another 3K HP before this year end towards my long journey of my Hive goals.
