5 reason to use Brave

5 reasons why you should use Brave instead of other browsers

In this short piece I'll give you 5 strong reasons to use Brave instead of other browsers. My suggestions are based on a 14 days period of use, in which I had become more and more enthusiast about Brave browser and the philosophy that stands behind it.

A very little bit of information about Brave

Brave has been developed by Brave Software, whose CEO is Brendan Eich, the inventor of notorious Javascript and co-founder of the Mozilla project.

Why you should use it?

1. Auf wiedersehen pop-up

I hate pop-up when I'm browsing the Internet. So, what the is the solution to adopt? Installing an adblocker. Well... Brave offer a built-in adblocker, so you do not have to worry boring and irritating pop-up at all. Anyway, you can choose to deactivate or to set-up differently the adblocker when you are browsing a trustworthy site.

2. Keep your data in control

They say:

if you're not paying for the product, you are the product

This does not happens with Brave.

Normally we do not pay for services or platforms like Gmail or Facebook. That's true, but this does not mean that these services and platforms are free at all. Their core business is based on your data. Instead, Brave does not track your data or your online behavior. Your data remain where they should be: with you.

3. Solidarity and Meritocracy: direct shared value.

These are the values that convinced me to make Brave my default browser (and conviced me to convice my girlfriend to install it too on her phone :) ). Why  solidarity and meritocracy? Well for a couple of reasons:

  • If you want to watch advertising, you are rewarded in BAT (I'll write something about BAT very soon so stay tuned, for now just say that Basic Attention Token are a crypto-currency based on Ethereum Blockchain).
  • You can keep BAT for yourself or you can give them to high quality content creator (and Yes, you can be a brave content creator too).

So you earn BAT by watching advertising if you want, and you can reward who put online interesting contents. No intermediary: just you, yourself and the guy that makes you smile, or makes you think, or teaches you something or whatever entertains you. I like to call it direct shared value.

4. Private browsing? You should yous TOR

Other browser simply hide your navigation history. Brave bring the thing to the next level, with a TOR private tab that also hide  your IP dinamically. Just don't do too much creepy stuff ok?

5. Brave is multi-platform

Windows, iOs, Linux, Android? No problem man, you can have Brave on your device.

Finally

I leave you with the video behind from Brave Youtube Official Channel. And remember to keep it digital.
