Every week there is a Splinterlands challenge to share a battle using a specific card and on this week's post it is a dragon battle. I also encourage Splinterlands players to partake in the challenge because you get to try different strategies and earn some crypto in the process.
Rule set, Battle and Plan

The ruleset this time is equal opportunity and spreading fury. This means that all monsters gain the opportunity and the enrage ability. There is also 52 mana available and I am left with the choice of fire, water, death or dragon splinter.

The summoner I choose to use this time is Drake of Arnak. In a match like this, I think +1 armor will make it easier for me to live longer and take a physical or ranged hit.

My plan is just to have a Chain Golem up top because it tends to be a melee monster up first. Then there Carnage Titan as a backup tank and damage dealer. I have two cards with the inspire ability to boost my damage from the enrage ability. In my last spot is Wave Brood with the taunt ability to let my damage dealers survive longer.
Round 1

At the first glance of my opponent's lineup, I think I have the stronger lineup due to all the melee monsters I have and the double inspire ability. In the end, I think this will be a long drawn-out match to see who can kill faster because we both have Wave Brood with the taunt ability.
Round 3

I skipped round two as no monsters died. After the taunt monsters died, both of us started wiping out the cards on both sides. From what I see, I have the advantage but it won't last long because my cards with inspire will be taking damage soon enough.
Round 4

I lost my River Hellondale but I still have a few damaging monsters left. Unless I miss like crazy, I don't see myself losing because I gain more damage due to enrage and my opponent does not.

It was annoying trying to hit that Djinn Oshannus with enrage but I was able to finish off my opponent and will the fight.
Conclusion
The battle this time around went exactly as I expected. My taunt monster took the hits while my Chain Golem played around with his front-line tank. On the other hand, inspire helped me deal a lot of damage to my opponent. While I wouldn't say it's the ideal match, I did take advantage of the rule set to deal as much damage as I could.
The +1 armor from Drake of Arnak was pretty useful. It did help me take a hit or two from my opponent and it also allowed me to play my cards to the highest level that I could. In the end, my opponent relied more on magic monsters that did not get a buff from enrage and I think this was a major factor making him lose this fight. On the other hand, I had 4 melee monsters and 2 monsters with inspire to increase the damage on my side.
You can see my entire match here.
What did you think of my match? Was there anything you would have done differently? I think it is quite interesting to see how different players use the same card.
