Where to Post Blockchain Jobs Online

By 0xJonnyDee | My Technical Analysis | 23 Jan 2020

Being a blockchain business is no easy task. With a new industry comes new challenges. One of these challenges is finding where to post jobs in this niche market. Posting on social media, job groups and job board sites in the blockchain sector can be an exhausting process. In this article, I will showcase the top job posting sites in this sector to save you time in your search.

CryptoJobsList

Founded in September 2017, the founder noticed there was no centralised place for jobs in the blockchain sector, thus created CryptoJobsList.

To this day, it averages roughly 10 postings a week. It’s simple to use and caters only to the companies posting a job. When you apply for a job you are reverted usually to the companies career page on their website to fill the application form.

Pros: Simple and slick user interface. Features include company profiles, and posting a job catering just to blockchain candidates.

Cons: Job candidates have no way to sign up and create their own profile to be sought by employers in the system.

CryptoJobs

Created roughly the same time as CryptoJobsList, CryptoJobs is very similar regarding the functionality of the site as a job board. However, their user interface does lack in design. They do have additional features, such as job candidates can fill out their prepared pitch of skills and upload their resume, to automate their application process. But, employers are not able to check out job candidates profiles seeking work. They look to have roughly 8 jobs posted a week.

Pros: Additional features such as an autofill for the job candidates. In addition, a business can have job candidates apply directly on the site, rather than redirecting.

Cons: The user interface is not visually stimulating, and still lacks the feature to allow an employer to search and filter job candidates to contact.

CryptocurrencyJobs

CryptocurrencyJobs also established themselves in 2017 during the ICO boom. Similar to CryptoJobsList, applicants go to the employer's website to apply or via email. There is no job candidate profile sign up, but they do showcase average salary aggregated from all the job postings per title.

Pros: The user interface is good, and they do showcase multiple stat options for filtering job postings.

Cons: similar to the other website, there is nothing for employers to check and filter job candidates on the site. In addition, there is no option to apply on the site. Instead, you are reverted to another site.

CryptoCareers

Founded in 2018, CryptoCareers shows a higher job posting activity. However, it does lack the simplicity to the other sites as they have many icons and pages to visit. The user interface is adequate and it is easy to filter the jobs of choice. A job candidate can fill out a profile, but it is not displayed for the employers. Applying to jobs has you go off-site to the companies website.

Pros: Has the most active job postings from the list of blockchain job sites

Cons: Too much going on, and lack of filtering job candidate profiles as seen by all job posting sites on our list.

Blockew

Started at the end of 2018, Blockew shows the most built-in features than the other job posting sites above. Job candidates aren’t allowed to post their job for free, which showcases potentially why they have fewer jobs available (around 5 a week) being posted.

What stands out though is that an employer can view profiles of the job candidates. The same common occurrence though, is that job candidates are reverted to apply elsewhere when they select a job.

Pros: Allows for seeing job candidates profiles.

Cons: must pay to post and have a low posting rate for jobs.

CryptoTask

CryptoTask (CT) are building a platform to bring a better experience for freelancers and employers compared to what’s available on the market. Not only can you post a job for free, their interface allows both searching job opportunities and searching freelancer’s skills. In addition, a built-in messaging system allows you to message both candidates and employers which notifies via email.

Lastly, job candidates can apply directly on the site and they have integrated workflow features allowing you to update your progress with the employer. For more information on what CT has to offer, you can read about their features here.

What is Cryptotask.org?

CryptoTask is a decentralised freelance market ecosystem skipping 3rd party fees by directly connecting hirees and applicants peer to peer. CT uses a commercially scalable consensus mechanism with a reviewer board selection built into the blockchain. This means job disputes are resolved much faster and cheaper, while your reputation is stored on a blockchain and there is no arbitrary censorship or hidden tampering, such as hidden boosting, something that centralised platforms are infamous for.

CT users will have a wallet by default that is controlled from a private key generated from an email and password combination. CT gives a simple, user-friendly option with no plugin installation. Earning crypto has never been easier.
