It is literally forbidden now to record or photograph from your car anywhere in Ukraine under control of Zelinsky and his forces, particular regions and war zones can not be recorded at all. This isn't a new phenomenon, not so long ago Israel wanted to make it illegal to record or photograph it's soldiers at all time, one can easily imagine why. But what's notable and above all worrisome in Ukraine's case is how large accounts on Twitter and other US controlled platforms that had been active for years and since March were doing mainly that, suddenly started to get mass banned one week prior to the official announcement from Kiev. What does that tell you?
So US controlled "social" media started doing this before Ukraine even made it's official announcement, without giving any announcement themselves or prior warning to users who were active on their platform. Totally normal right? For those that want the official Ukrainian statement:
But it goes even further than that, Telegram was a safe haven for many of these accounts that build up a rather large following, but even on an alternative platform some are feeling increasingly threatened to just continue their work solely because they are (partially) located in some of these countries that are taking the unprecedented radical measures.
This, in combination of censoring large media just because they were from particular countries the past year should be cause for concern. After all, someone once poetically said "first they came...."
PS If you're on Twitter and no longer in any of the above mentioned countries but still have your location set as such, Twitter will not undo the block for you if you find yourself in a country that does allow RT to be show, you'll have to manually set your settings as being from the country you went to before being able to actually view the account. But don't worry, once you return back to the EU again Twitter will automatically block your access again even if you don't reset your region to the EU😉
PPS Anyone notice anything peculiar in the above image? It's in the list of nations, one of them shouldn't really be in there. And by that I don't mean one of those blabla claims that "they always pretended to be neutral but now...". No, I mean one of those "reasons that eliminates stability and peace in Europe because fundamental post WW2 agreements are on the verge of being broken" claims. The older generation might already know which one I'm talking about and why they really, really shouldn't get caught up in all this: Austria. By both international and constitutional law, Austria is to remain permanently neutral when it comes to war or military alliances and treaties. There are both binding and non-binding agreements regrading this, but them being in the EU and because this sudden Russian media ban is an EU decision, all member states have to abide by it. Info-wars aside, Austria also took a first unprecedented step in being in the EU defense plan in which Brussels described Russia as a main adversary. Although this defense plan is a lighter alternative to the initially purposed and rejected EU army, it doesn't take Nostradamus to see where this will go 15 years later.
Anyway, back OT regarding press freedom and information, despite all that's been happening and deteriorating in these fields, there are a considerable bunch who instead of standing up to this authoritarianism, actually want to take it even further and also get rid of that host, news program or media they despised for years as well. I'm not making this up, these yokels are highly represented in all corners of the West.
People often wonder "how could WW2 possibly happen?" It didn't start with the death camps, it started with the suffocating of voices that had alternative perspectives and then easily enforcing radical ideals onto millions. Automatically creating an atmosphere of subjection where those that knew better were afraid to even speak out in fear of being called a "traitor to the fatherland", "Jew lover" or "Communist".
