Kulu Swimhunters are members of a race of squid-like creatures that hunt in packs. They use their multiple tentacles to wield all manner of projectiles, to include spears, coral, and even fish. They are very aggressive and are known to traverse oceans, lakes, and rivers, killing for sport and leaving a trail of destruction in their wake. They do not value gold or glory and will ally themselves with whoever promises the greatest opportunity to hunt and kill.

This is one of the few cards that i have seen, that doesn't have any additional abilities. Despite this, it will increase its speed and health a lot more when upgrading compared to other cards.

For my normal rule-set games, this is not a card i normally pick. But for rule-sets like keep your distance or close range i think it can be an effective card because of it's 2 attack on base level.

But for this share your battle, i've used it as a closer in a normal rule-set game, so let's see how it holds against my opponents team.

Tactics

In first, second and third position, i always tend to place filler cards. Especially in lower mana battles. This to make space so that my favorite water card, the deeplurker, can make the best out of it's opportunity buff. And if the game is on your side, with Albatross in first position, can result in a lot of misses from your opponent. That's why i chose for Albatross, Hardy Stonefish and the Chaos Agent.

In forth and fifth position, i like to place the Feasting Seaweed and the Deeplurker. This because they both have opportunity. I always put the deeplurker at the back, so that it can take some hit's from sneak opponents.

As a closer, for this battle i chose Kulu Swimhunter. It has a nice amount of health, and due to it's 2 attack, it can do damage to shielded opponents.

The Battle

Round 1

round_1.png

Due to its high speed, the Deeplurker took out the Serpentine Spy because my opponent chose to put the chaos agent as a closer. This wasn't a wise decision, because now it's high speed attacker is taken out without even attacking.

Next up to be ended was the Radiated Scorcher, by an attack combo of the Kulu Swimhunter and the Feasting Seaweed, putting the Living Lava in tank position. And this one missed an attack on the Albatross, so that part of my tactic worked as planned.

Round 2

round_2.png

In round 2, the choas agent gets taken down first, and afterwards there where attacks on the living lava. Unfortunatly the Kulu Swimhunter also got damage by the Tenyii Strikers sneak attack.

Round 3

round_3.png

In round 3, my Kulu Swimhunter is taken out the Tenyii Striker. And the living lava missed the Albatross again. So now the Deeplurker and Feastin Seaweed could do damage to the tank.

Round 4

round_4.png

In round 4, the Deeplurker took a hit from the Tenyii Striker, but with help from the Feasting Seaweed the Living Lava was defeated. So only the Tenyii Striker entered round 5 of this battle.

Round 5

round_5.png

In round 5, the Albatross took the fall, and my team came 1 damage short of ending the Tenyii Striker. But this was done by the deeplurker in round 6, ending this battle in a win.

Conclusion

I actually kinda like the Kulu Swimhunter in this setup. It can take a punch and do some damage, even against shielded enemies. Next time though, i would change his position with the Deeplurker, because he can take some more damage.
