Games and events we can't have for now
If you can name a AAA game in development, it has probably been delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic. Amazon's New World, The Last of Us Part II, Iron Man VR, Hellpoint, Minecraft Dungeons and so many other games will have development time extended for more than a month.
But of course, live events have had the most impact. BlizzCon, E3, Game Developers Conference, Overwatch League, Call of Duty League, everything EA, you name it. Most gamers have it easier than non-gamers at this time of isolation, but it's still overwhelming for professionals and enthusiasts.
Not everything is awful
VR gaming hardware like the Oculus Quest has been selling out in some countries, which is very good for the companies behind it, although the production line has weakened due to covid-19 so back-orders have started taking place.
It is a great time for physical jigsaw puzzles, as demand for them skyrocketed. A lot of new people who traditionally don't fit the gaming demographic have been entering physical gaming stores to buy tabletop games and whatever else is family-friendly. Hopefully this breakthrough is maintained after the pandemic ends.
