I meant to write a few articles about new games where you can earn Crypto by playing regular games. By regular games I mean not inherently "blockchain" games. I had 3 games all lined up that I was going to write articles on how to play them and how to earn crypto because of them. Then I played all of them and realized the return on investment is not worth it at all. So instead of writing 3 articles I am going to write 1. 😀
I have long had the notion that me writing articles was to help people who are new to the crypto space. I never wanted to back something that I didn't test myself or that was likely a scam. With that in mind here are 3 games I don't recommend.
MIR4 (Windows)

I am not going to lie on this one. I got excited when I read about it. I mean it was a full fledged JRPG built for Windows you get downloaded from Steam. Which I thought meant it was a real game with real possibilities. I read this article in particular. Now the premise of the game is that there is 1 resource in the game called "Darksteel" that you can mine with your in game character (not crypto mining). And once you get to level 40 and connect your account to a Google or Apple account you can withdraw your Darksteel in exchange for DRACO.
What is DRACO you ask? Yeah valid question, well it's a CryptoCurrency that is not worth a lot. At time of writing is $0.0002832 per DRACO token. Sure you need to use the developers own wallet to hold the DRACO, but I went into it thinking well a wallet is a wallet and once I get the crypto I can move it wherever I want.

The premise of the crypto part is that you could exchange 10,000 Darksteel for 1 DRACO. And it was stated that DRACO was worth about $3. I didn't realize until after I started playing that the value was WAY less then $3. Now to the development teams credit they stated they would fluctuate the amount of Darksteel required to withdraw for DRACO to keep the economy working fine. But since DRACO has no immediate use right now it was never going to work.
Now into the game itself. It's a fun game to be completely honest. You can pick from 1 of 4 starter characters and I picked the Lancer because he looked the coolest.

The weird thing about this game is that a lot of it is automated. So it tells you your next mission and then you click on it and your character will auto walk to the spot or auto attack the enemies. It is kind of easy in that regard but the artwork is amazing and truly looks like a AAA game.
They have super weird but unique creatures as well.

Now why is this on my list of Crypto earning games that I don't recommend? Well a few reasons. Reason #1: It takes way to long to level 40 to make it worth it. Reason #2 The amount of Darksteel you get is very far and few in-between. Reason #3: the value of DRACO went to crap a few days ago and makes it completely a waste of time!
Crypto Idle Miner: Bitcoin mining game (Android)
Now this is like most Idle mining games on Android. You have a few levels that earn you rewards and as you upgrade them they get more and more expensive. And you can unlock new levels and rinse and repeat. The thing that makes these one unique is that it is crypto based. Meaning you buy new miners and upgrade them and then buy more.
I know what you are asking yourself. How do I make real crypto with this game? Well I am getting to that. In this game there are seasons which last 7 days. Players at the top of the rankings for each season earn HORA tokens. HORA tokens are real cryptocurrencies.

Why is this one on my list? Well I have been playing it a while and I am not even CLOSE to getting into the leaderboards. Oh and the second reason is because the HORA token is worth $0.00013316 at time of writing.
** full disclosure I took these photos from the Android Play Store listing**
Crazy Tower Defense: Tower Defense Strategy Game (Android)
So this game is a Tower Defense Game. There are a dime a dozen on Android and have been around forever. This one is just like the others to be perfectly honest. And that isn't a bad thing necessarily but just something to think about.

The way this one differs I guess is that each tower is a card (think like a NFT but it's not). You can get new cards/towers from chests. You can level up your towers and towers have different levels.

The way you earn crypto is by getting 250,000xp a month to be eligible for TOWER tokens. I love the game itself, it is fun and addictive. I have played for about a month and a half and the barrier to getting enough XP to qualify is just way to high. And I can't find a value on TOWER so to me this game is not worth it to earn crypto.
**I took the screenshots right from Google on this one too**
My friend 'PopPopPrego' over on Noise.Cash plays this game and has gotten enough XP in a month to earn Tower tokens. He has also stated that the withdraw functionality isn't setup yet but should be shortly. So keep that in mind if you do end up playing this game.
There you go. There are 3 games where you can earn crypto for playing but I wouldn't recommend it. Shoot you would be better off doing faucets or even playing Alien Worlds. You would get a better return on time investment those ways.
That being said these are my opinions, and who knows maybe I am just really bad at the games and you could make a huge profit from them. That is the beauty of Play2Earn though.
