Merry Christmas Eve to you all!
Today I wanted to get some practice in because last time I waited too long between drawing. I came across a photo of these arm wrestling fellows and thought that would let me work on hands, faces, hair, shading! Here is the result:
I could spend hours and hours more working on the faces, but in general I am pretty happy with how this piece came out. I may use this photo reference again someday and give horns to the one on the right and maybe scales for the one on the left.
The reference photo depicts two members of the Warwick College rowing team, and is taken from the insta for their charitable organization, Worldwide Roar. Worldwide Roar creates a steamy annual calendar with pictures of the rowing team members and other allied athletes, in order to bring worldwide attention to the need for sports to be available for all people, not just straight men. Their antibullying campaign is a true blessing on the world.
