Today my friend Sandra challenged me to draw a self portrait.

I posted it without comment to Facebook, and my friends all said "oh! it's you!" so I guess it looks like me. Mission accomplished!

It makes me puzzled, though, trying to figure out what makes us recognizable. In my case, I think a lot of it is in my roundish nose and full cheeks? But lots of people have those and not all of them look like me at all. It's a mystery to me. Would love to hear your thoughts!

Looking at them together, I think my face is angled a little further in the photo than in my drawing, but on the whole I am very pleased with it.
