NFT Are Not Simple Jpeg: Real Merchadising I Have Received

If you think that NFT are simple jpegs you might be wrong. Sure there are a lot of scam and that is undeniable. The sector is still immature and highly speculative. Not many Blue Chip collections (which should hold the price). Even Bored Ape ended up in the eye of the storm for paying influencers to advertise using a Bored Ape as a profile picture on social media. Even an NFT market born a few months ago (Blur) is taking speculation to the highest levels. Blur is seeking a monopoly on NFT markets and has surpassed Opensea in volume. How are they doing it? With aggressive tactics: airdrop of their token and 0 fees. Basically the more you bid using their market the more points you earn therefore the higher your chances of receiving rarer boxes that contain more Blur tokens. Furthermore, by listing only on their market, you earn "loyalty" points which in fact serve to receive more Blur tokens in the various seasons. For the moment Opensea has responded by eliminating the fees for 1 month but for a short time.

PHYSICAL GIFTS
As I had already mentioned in another article, some NFT collections are becoming a real brand. They reward holders by sending physical gifts related to their collections. Getting some merchandise is always a nice idea to build a community. Many collections also organize real events and meetings, in which only holders can participate. These ideas are matured by Bored Ape. Other collections reward you with points that allow you to order (real) prizes or get discounts.
I already told you about my Warner Music Group (WMG) shirt obtained with the NFT pass. This pass ($75) allowed me to receive:
1) Two NFT to use in Sandbox
2) Privileges on their Discord server
3) Special pool with 50,000 Sand by completing the missions in the WMG event on Sandbox (these Sand will be divided equally among all the Pass Holders, we are talking about 105 Sand at addresses...for an event that could be completed in 5 minutes)
4) T-shirt (their Land in Sandbox is called "Sueco WMG")

However, the highlight was certainly winning the Ledger as holder of World Of Women. This collection is divided into World Of Women and World Of Women Galaxy. Thanks to a partnership with Ledger, by answering 25 questions about Crypto security it was possible to enter a raffle with 1200 Ledger.

Luckily I was drawn so I won 1 Limited Edition Ledger. No shipping costs, completely free!
Definitely a charged idea, to reward holders and supporters of the project. Of course with third party Ledger care should always be taken, however this is a genuine Ledger product and shipped by them. The artist who made the limited edition 1200 Ledger has simply 'branded' the cover with the NFT Collection branding so there should be no security risk.
Obviously we are talking about a collection that has moved volumes of 250 million dollars, however caution is never too much when it comes to non-custodial wallets!

This brand organizes continuous exhibitions and meetings, these days the ArtFest was staged in Paris. It was also possible to follow the meeting online and claim some NFT created for the occasion by world-famous artists (special NFT were obtained based on the traits possessed by one's WOW or WOWG). Another less well-known collection Cereal Club is creating its own cereals and shipping them to holders. Unfortunately, the community was very angry (and rightly so) because they had the idea of only shipping cereals to the USA, Mexico and Canada but the community and the holders are worldwide.
They reiterated that they will find a solution for European, Asian, African and Oceanic holders with future initiatives.

I am waiting with great anticipation, real merchandising from Invisible Friends 3D. It will probably be action figures. Through NFT staking, 3Landers also allows you to obtain discounts on real merchandising (in this case, however, we are talking about "discounts" and not gifts, however they too could move in this direction). When there are "rumors" that a collection might make a snapshot for a Whitelist (WL) or for real merchadising, obviously the floor price goes to the moon.
I think that many NFT collections are going in the right direction: creating communities. Abandoning the concept of pure speculation but also rewarding holders. Sharing part of their earnings is the right thing because this encourages, even retails and non-traders, to buy and hold an NFT. Warning, this is not a sponsored article. I am a simple holder of these projects and I have received some merchandising, in some cases even unexpected (see Ledger). I invested in these projects for the long term because in the Bear Market they had suffered a drastic fall in prices so I made some income and I was rewarded. Obviously before investing, you must always do your research (DYOR).
