How to Recognize Valid Crypto Projects

The term "Growth Hacker" is associated with professionals who specialize in promoting the growth and adoption of products or services using innovative marketing strategies and data analysis techniques. In recent years it has also spread to the world of cryptocurrencies to distinguish valid projects from fluff ones.

How to recognize a valid crypto project:
-clarity and accessibility of information on the project objectives (website)
-product and use case
-team (experience, background, past, vision, objectives, resources, risk management)
-community (social network) and conversion funnel
-marketing (sustainability, A/B-multivariate testing, trends, TAM maximum market size, SAM own market portion, SOM % of the market that can be reached, barriers to entry)
-business model (BCG matrix, supply/demand, competitive advantages, SWOT analysis or strengths and weaknesses of the project)
-business plan (roadmap, burn rate=monthly spending rate, quick ratio=degree of solvency of a company, use of funds, partnerships, competitor analysis, whether you produce profits and how it produces them)
-analysis of the markets where it operates (profiling, geographical and demographic target, Business to Business v Business to Consumer, tier, SEM and SEO to increase the visibility of a website)
-compliance and regulations
-financial transparency

As far as communication is concerned, you should pay attention to overly aggressive communities, unrealistic ads (regarding price and future goals), vague information, poor presence on social media (or fake interactions), false comments/reviews (including via bot and fake profiles) and constant roadmap changes and announcements. At a marketing level you should pay attention to: fake traders (who only show you profits and not losses. Remember that someone could trade both "short" and "long" at the same time), deep fakes (videos created with AI in which famous people sponsor that project), giveaways, user profiling, network marketing, MLM, security awareness and social engineering. Many people on the team and token dilution is not a positive thing because it adds more people who may decide to sell the tokens.

Even at the VC level there could be problems as they are either of dubious reputation or not interested in the project in the long term.
