It’s easy to forget this when many crypto firms use Publish0x as part of their outreach strategy, but Publish0x also caters to the average man on the street, the hapless novice who just got inducted into the crypto world, the enterprising blogger who wants to build his crypto portfolio but doesn’t quite know how. There. I just described myself using three different ways.
The extent of my ignorance and inexperience? Well, I only applied for a MetaMask account last December because Publish0x organised a writing contest with Jetcoin and the latter promised to send all participants a JET NFT card. Before this, I didn’t even know that MetaMask was also available as a mobile app. I naively assumed that one had to do transactions on it using a web browser.
I marched into 2022, feeling good about my revamped identity because I was now the proud owner of a MetaMask wallet. Never mind the slight fact that this wallet didn’t contain any digital assets because firstly, I didn’t know how to transfer crypto from my existing portfolio on CeFi exchanges to MetaMask and secondly, I didn’t have much disposable cash to work with. Thankfully, life had a way of sorting things out.
When news broke that Publish0x would stop giving out $FARM tokens in favour of $STA tokens, I was excited, to say the least. However, there was a part of me that was apprehensive and paranoid about messing things up. After all, in my first month with Publish0x, I tried to withdraw $iFARM tokens and deposit them into MyCrypto.com wallet - but these tokens never arrived in the end. I was scared that the same would happen to my Statera tokens. That they would disappear in thin air as a result of the blunders I made.
Still, the sight of an empty MetaMask wallet taunted me endlessly, like a careless whisper that lingered long into the wee hours of the night. I decided to give myself another chance. I thus studied the manual diligently and made sure that I had performed the necessary steps correctly when it came to inputting the FTM network and importing the STA token.
Everything seemed to gel together nicely because this was what I saw on my MetaMask a day or two after I indicated my desire to withdraw my $STA. Success!
All’s well that ends well. Now, I can say that I not only know how to navigate the ERC-20 network, but also know that a whole new world related to the FTM network awaits me out there. So exciting!
I know that my sharing out there prompts you to put aside your apprehension and try withdrawing your $STA tokens onto your MetaMask wallet!
