The path to becoming a battlemage in Splinterlands isn't so simple. You start by learning how things work little by little, which can take time. However, you'll soon get used to it, and over time I believe most battlemages develop some kind of routine.
If you look for content about Splinterlands, you'll see that some players share that they usually play 5 games a day, others spend a good amount of time in the Tavern chatting, some gather in the chat to talk; everyone has some kind of habit/routine within the game.
However, for the player who always seeks to improve and reach higher leagues, some routines are fundamental, and it is precisely about the routines of a battlemage that we will discuss. Remember that here you will find a point of view, and that in each of these routines you can delve deeper and end up developing each one further.
I'll be much appreaciated if you Votes, Reblogs or give any Tips. Thanks and have good reading! 🍀
The Routine of a Splinterlands Battlemage
The most straightforward routine involves gameplay. A proactive battlemage is always playing ranked matches throughout the day, participating in events, tournaments, and brawls.
Every week you can go to the tournaments tab and check which ones you'll have the following week. Brawls happen every week, and regarding events, you currently have the daily wheel spins and the survival event. A tip about tournaments is to check if you can win at least more than the entry fee.
Next, we have the part about improving your deck. You need to always be on the lookout for strong cards to rent or buy, in order to improve your chances of winning. A tip is to follow the analysis of defeats to get a good idea of what your opponent used to defeat you and thus have an idea of the cards you need to look for.
A tip in this market section is to keep an eye on the market to buy cards that have a better cost-benefit ratio than renting. Cards that have high rental costs throughout the year, but low overall cost, and cards you use frequently, could have a significant impact if their price increases and they become unavailable on the market.
These are cards you need to keep an eye on. A classic example is summoners/archons, which are literally the foundation of any deck. Before even thinking about evolving your cards and improving your units, you need evolved summoners.
Finally, we have a tip to always aim for around 8x to 10x return in your games for the amount of SPS. Just like with key cards, it's good to have a good amount of SPS and accumulate it to reduce the rental cost, because if the positive scenario occurs and many players enter the game, the demand for SPS can become so high that the token may become scarce in the rental market.
For now, there is plenty of supply, but it takes a while to rent it for 0.001. I myself placed a bid to rent SPS at that price more than 5 days ago and still nothing... Another tip is to consider this waiting time and plan your rentals accordingly.
