Splinterlands has added the Dragon’s Feast event to the game, which runs until November 30th, bringing several new features. The first is a collection of skins called “Bountiful,” which has a close connection to food, perhaps due to Thanksgiving. Three of these skins can be found in the Glint Shop. In addition, just like with Halloween, there will be a new modifier that can appear in ranked battles: Dragon Breath. Curious to know more about the new features? Then check it all out now!
I'll be much appreaciated if you Upvote, Reblogs or give any Tips ( PIZZA 🍕, PGM 🎮, LOLZ 😆, ALIVE ❤️, etc ). Thanks and have good reading! 🍀
[ENGLISH VERSION]
Dragon’s Feast
In Splinterlands Season 171, from November 15th to November 30th, the Dragon’s Feast event will take place within this web3 card game. Among the new features, we will have a new battle background for duels in this autumn-themed arena, a new modifier, and new skins for players!
Dragon’s Feast “Bountiful” Skins
Coming along with Dragon’s Feast are some skins from a collection called “Bountiful,” which relates to the characters having some connection to food. In the case of the Gobalano Soldier, it's a common skin, costing only 500 glint, and in this skin he's holding what looks like a piece of chicken thigh instead of his staff. Next up is Anchor-Hex Adept, a Rare Arcane Conclave skin costing 2500 glint. Instead of a magic staff like the original skin, it holds a trident with a piece of meat on the tip. Finally, we have the last and most exclusive skin, Bountul Dar ‘Gottem’ Gearnut, which swaps the helmet and staff for chicken. Being a legendary card, this skin is the most expensive, costing 20000 glint.
In my opinion, the Gobalano skin is cool and cheap, but the Anchor-Hex Adept skin is the most original, since it's the only one that has a piece of meat and not chicken like the other two, giving it a rarer appearance, and it's not that much more expensive than the Gobalano and costs a little over 10% more than the Gearnut skin. I believe that to commemorate the Dragon's Feast event and because it's a very commonly used card in fire-element sneak builds, the skin I'll choose from that event to keep in my collection is the Bountiful Gobalano Soldier skin.
I believe that this strategy of adding more skins to the game through events is a good strategy for Splinterlands because it is creating demand for Glint and gives players a new aspect of collecting, creating a greater connection between the game, cards, skins, and players, making the game more fun when you see your card with a skin in play.
New Battle Modifier - Dragon Breath
During the Dragon’s Feast, a new modifier may appear in your ranked battle with a 5% chance, called Dragon Breath. As the name suggests, this modifier references the roars of dragons along with the jet of fire that comes out of their mouths. Now, regarding the details of this new modifier, it will add a Burning effect to units hit by magical or ranged attacks, both linked to ranged attacks, similar to a true dragon breath. Furthermore, since fire can spread when it hits something, this modifier also takes that into account, giving a 33% chance for the Burning effect to spread to adjacent units.
This issue of burning also appears in a debilitating ability called Incendiary, which incidentally shows us the effect of burning. For those who don't know, this burning debuff causes 2 damage to units per turn, and the fact that it can spread can cause a big problem for teams. However, there is a way to combat or at least avoid this negative effect during Dragon's Feast. The solution is to use units that can use Cleanse on other units in your team, because Burning is a debuff that can be removed with Cleanse.
