Splinterlands EOS Reward - Common, Rare & Epic Draws

In this End-of-Season (EOS), I earned a solid amount of Glint for participating in various Splinterlands game modes. In the Wild format, I secured over 50k Glint during the season and another 6k from the leaderboard. I’ll hold off on discussing the Survival rewards until the event payout arrives.

The Wild leaderboard rewards were a bit disappointing; while I achieved a strong ranking last season, the overall rating threshold seems to have risen significantly this time around, making it harder to climb—even with all the upgrades I’ve made to my deck. I still have a few Summoners to max out so I can fully utilize the cards' capabilities...

For the EOS rewards, I decided to split my Glint into four roughly equal parts, allocating about 30k to each objective. My first goal was to upgrade the Arcane Conclave Common reward cards, so I went for 100 Common Draws. Next, I targeted Rare cards with 40 Rare Draws. Finally, I used the remaining Glint for two Epic Draws to upgrade my Epic cards. I also decided to try my luck at a jackpot by opening a few Minor Chests—though I should mention that nothing interesting came out of them...

Many of the Common and Rare cards in the Glint Shop collection are highly effective in battle, making them top priorities for upgrades. Standout cards include the Stonebind Matron, capable of both healing and dealing precise damage; the Grim Bonewhip, which offers versatility by stripping enemy shields and boosting speed; and Phlegmor, which attacks the last position while granting +1 HP to allies. These Common cards offer a wide range of utility, making them incredibly valuable during matches. Beyond the great utility provided by the cards' skills and stats, there is another, simpler reason for choosing Common Draws: I was only a few cards away from leveling them up. I know—having held cards from past Reward collections that were close to leveling—that the worst thing is having a reward card on the verge of evolving, only for the collection to leave the shop and the card prices to skyrocket. The number of cards needed was low—between 3 and 12 for the easiest ones—so with 100 Common Draws, I was pretty certain I’d be able to level them up.

Splinterlands EOS Reward - Common, Rare & Epic Draws

The first to evolve was Coralforged, one of the most used common cards because its Flank ability allows you to add another melee character in the second position with Reach. Now at level 6, the card gained +1 shield.

It will be best when it reaches level 7 because it gains Dodge, which will allow it to survive longer. Next, the second common to evolve, also to level 6, was Cullborn Revenant, which gained +1 Speed. In the case of this card, the best time to upgrade it is when it reaches level 8 because it will then deal 3 magic damage, making it relevant in combat.

As for the upgraded rare cards, there were also two. The first was Surgehammer, which reached level 4, which is great for the card because it gained a new ability called Cleanse, which removes debuffs from the first position. As I said, it's another card with two functions: the 2 to 3 melee damage with opportunity guarantees the damage, and together with Poseidon it's great, and it also helps with Cleanse and will eventually have Repair at the last level, making it incredible for 6 mana.

Next, I upgraded Careless Badger to level 4. Overall, the cards are leveling up in a fairly consistent way, reaching the same level overall. At this level, it gained +1 ranged attack, but its 1 HP remains a concern. The best will be reaching level 6, which gives it 4 ranged damage, and the final level, where it gains Scavenger. It's at this level that it will finally become more usable. Finally, I had two Epic Draws, which included another repeated Pirate and a copy of Tandi Janda, bringing another card to level 2.
