The easiest way to get some crypto is to buy some for money. Of course, it's possible to jerk faucets, to post bullshit at Publish0x, to mess with Brave browser and its KYCed wallet, and so on. But if you want to have some even not that great amount of US$100 in crypto -- the easiest way to have it should be buying it with money.
So thought I some time ago and started to research the possibilities.
Soon I found that today it's indeed possible to buy crypto with a credit (or debit) card -- if you don't mind paying commissions. Actually, I don't remember I've ever had any commissions when I pay with my card in shops, restaurants, gas stations and elsewhere. But considering crypto being a new thing, I don't mind to pay a reasonable amount of fees. And guess what? I've seen services charging as much as 25 bucks for a 50 bucks buy! Holy shit...
But this was only the first part of my troubles. The second part, a really difficult one is how to withdraw crypto back into fiat. If I want to cash my crypto profits out -- I'm pretty much unable to do that. I know that somewhere in the EU it's possible to convert crypto into fiat, to withdraw to a bank account or a card, but in my area all this simply doesn't work. I can't have my Crypto.com card because Crypto.com simply doesn't issue it in my area.
I know that these problems are not a feature of crypto, but knowing it doesn't make my life any simplier. So far all my crypto investments are pretty much one-way ones -- everything I put in crypto is doomed to stay in crypto for some uncertain period of time. I can only hope my investments will at least compound some interest during that time.
