Midoin has been around for a while now - a limited amount being generated by mining on your mobile with an app.

Only 26 millions midoins are ever going to be “mined”. As per their Facebook update,

After months of hard work we are excited to announce that by the 15th November we will be ready to deploy Midoin on the blockchain. It will be initially be deployed on the testnet to make sure that everything works as intended and after a short period it will be deployed on the main net.

Download their app here and sign in with Google, Facebook or a phone number. 

Add your name and choose a username in the next steps - these can be changed at any time. 

Now you're set. Mining is very easy and felt weirdly simplistic on their main dashboard menu. On the menu tab you will first do a slide check (if you're human!) and you will be greeted with a circle.

All you have to do is tap on the circle multiple times and at the end of 1 minute, a fraction of the coin will be added to your account. 

If you can't open and tap, there is an option of auto tap which will mine coins at 5 taps a minute. You need to activate this with the slider on the left side. It will remain active for 24 hours and you have to reactivate at this point. The good thing is, you can switch to manual mining when you open the app and then swap back to auto and the timer will restart. 

That's the main mining part. It has 2 more features that try to make it an interactive community. 

1. Chat and transfer: You can follow members and make them your friends. You can chat and also send them some coins. I find that people use this to send referral links and request to join. 

2. They have a store that is made by members. I am not sure how reliable this is for physical goods, but you can use your coins to get referrals for some programs in the store. There's even an iPhone 11 on sale there!

That's the basics. We'll see what happens when it enters the blockchain and what it's value will be when it enters exchanges. It's available on the Play Store and the iOS app Store too.
