Lithuania To Launch World's First Digital Collector Coin

Although every country has not excepted big cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, Ethereum, and others yet. But working on digital currencies is still going on to meet the requirements of the digital era. Good news for crypto or digital currency lovers is from Lithuania. A European country Lithuania working on crypto and may going to be the first one to launch digital coin for collectors. It's expected to release in the first 6 months of next year. The bank is going to dedicate it to the 1918 act of independence.

Bank of Lithuania’s Board Member, Marius Jurgilas said that “This innovative coin will feature the signatories due to their significant role in the country’s history and contribution to the restoration of our independence. Quite a few of them could be called innovators of their time, as they created and brought progress to Lithuania,”.

Digital Collector Coin Designer, Giedrius Paulauskis said that “I attempted to do a modern take on the historic photograph of the Council of Lithuania that many remember from history books. The digitised picture consists of more than 36,500 pixels – the approximate number of days that have passed since the Act of 16 February,”.
