Web3 being touted as the new eara of internet, we already have a long list of innovative projects developing under the tag 'the next generation web'. But to chose and adopt one out of these web3 projects can often be mind scratching. One because web3 is still so confusing and the second is it's not so user friendly at times. Having admitted that, it's almost a truth that anything that's evolving can be confusing and complicated.
Web 3.0 Is Confusing?
But why is Web3 so confusing? It's only for one reason that we are surely passing through a bridge in time where past meets future. You can correlate the current scenario with the transition period when we shifted from cassettes to CDs or from Tap Recorders to CD Players. The time in between this shift is the time of transition and it didn't happen suddenly, it took time. Hence the shift from web2 to web3 is a reality, it's happening.
As it's the transition period where Web 2.0 meets Web 3.0, you might not experience what reality will look like after the transition is over. It would most probably be one that outclasses the previous one in most points. As the shift from Post Office to now 'smartphones' took almost a century but could you experience current technology in 1970s or 1980s. Actually not and you wouldn't be surprised once these small scale steps by Web 3.0 culminates into some experience.
The infrastructure for web 3.0 is still developing and advancing gradually. Blockchain, cryptocurrencies, DeFi, NFTs, Wallets and decentralized data are all building a new web experience which isn't as advanced as Web 2.0 can boast of currently. But the narrative of change has started to move towards Web3 and once the infrastructure on which the new age web a.k.a. web3 will base upon consolidate to be useful enough, the history of technological shift will once again prevail.
Web 3.0 Is Complicated?
Is Web 3 complicated? Yes, but it's only partially correct. Web 3 is complicated for it leads us to a purely decentralized world of internet where we don't have to risk our privacy. It definitely brings the opposite pole of internet which it is right now. Web 2.0 also started with the same notion of decentralisation but on the name of simple user interface and ease of access, centralized businesses, such as Google, Meta and Amazon, tricked us towards ignoring privacy.
It's still early to predict if the complexity of user interface in Web 3.0 will ever be limited but if we want a truly decentralized world of internet, we should be ready to avoid these complications.
So, when do you feel that Web3 is complex? It's right from the beginning when you actually have to integrate a decentralized wallet with any of the Web3 ecosystem. This complexity even runs through while you have to 'sign' every task with your wallet. But isn't it like signing in with an email on a website or app? Yes, signing in with an email is much smoother experience than with a wallet, but only consider that web3 is only in its early stages.
My Personal Experience With Web3
Recently I stepped into two web 3.0 ecosystems. One is a quite established name and the other isn't.
First I tried my hands at hive.io which almost took me a day to setup the keys and wallets and then getting frustrated when one of the games on hive.io didn't accept any of those keys and disallowed me to engage with it. Being frustrated with the annoyance that it brought, I deleted 'keychain' app from my smartphone. (For those who might be wondering, I know that using hive.io on a desktop feels better.)
The next one that I came accross is 'magicsquare.io' which is newer and more user friendly than hive.io. Although, I am not so technical guy and I can't comment on the worthiness of any of these ecosystems but when it comes to applications and overall features magicsquare.io. seemed bigger and better. There are more games, more activities for users, and most importantly a chance to involve with web3.
When you engage with magicsquare.io, for now, they are distributing the native token $SQR for every successful activity. The token isn't listed on any exchanges as of now and is scheduled to be listed on Bybit after 10 days. So this presents an extra opportunity when you engage with magicsquare.io.
In case you wanna experience Web3, here's a link to magicsquare's magic store.

Conclusion
At last, I personally feel that Web3 is developing and advancing into the right direction. However there are certain drawbacks which it needs to mend before getting mainstream adoption. Overall, if web 3 means to make everything decentralized again, the motive seems unreachable unless we make the UI easier and accessible.
