...it’s not all about crypto!
I recently submitted a post for MyPublish0xAuthor (and was lucky enough to be granted a special award for my article), but it really made me think about how Publish0x works - and what doesn’t... the seen and the unseen, the heard and unheard, and generally about the amount of hidden talent that goes unnoticed.
Personally, I like to talk about FinTech, Society, Culture, Design Thinking, Blockchain and other cool stuff. I love crypto, but when discussing it I prefer to examine its potential impact on the world and society. Nevertheless, I’ve just discovered the Publish0x platform puts contributors like me at a disadvantage because it's largely all about crypto and those who already have large followings.
Even though Publish0x caters for Entertainment, Technology and Science, Health, Culture and Society, or Music, Photography and Art, only crypto or blockchain topics make the front page. This means all other contributors no matter how talented or interesting they are, will have limited exposure and are likely to receive fewer tips and followers. Publish0x has 42 possible categories to explore from Cooking to Philosophy, however, all 7 of the topics featured on the front-page relate in some way to crypto.

As a result, I’ve decided to use my influence (I say influence loosely, as I only have 10 followers at the time of writing) to share some of the other talented contributors I’ve recently discovered. These contributors barely receive any tips, have many followers or their posts never trend because it doesn't have crypto in the title.
So without further ado and discussing the topics that interest me (and hopefully you), I’ll share a sample of what I’ve found so far, provide a sample of their work and links to their pages if you wish to follow or tip them. It's all in the name of giving them a little bit more exposure.
Art
Abisai - Describes them-self as a ‘struggling independent artist based in Indonesia’ and has 72 followers. As someone who dabbles in art myself, I stumbled upon Abisai at the perfect time as I was honing my skills on my SurfacePro, I was truly inspired by their work and the fact they shared various stages of the creative process. I am currently working on a neo-classical style or taking classical images and interpreting them in relation to crypto, and was inspired by their artistic techniques.

I do have a soft spot for individual's that share their journey or the iterative versions of their designs before the final creation is produced. Maybe it's the Design Thinker in me, but it's a process that simply aids innovation, creativity and or creative and innovative thinking. Abisai shares their early drafts and concepts, and we can see how these are developed into the final design solution. Art is truly in the eye of the beholder, and as such, an artist is literally baring their soul, pain, joy and sorrow for the world to see. Abisai is modest and still developing their skills, and is definitely worthy of your attention.
Quaro - He simply introduces himself as a ‘web/gis developer and freelance illustrator’. His posts offer a range of his skills, talent and humour, and range from 3D drawing to an illustrated comic - Jerry the Master of Kang-Fa. I can’t believe the highest tip he’s received is only $0.21. I like Quaro because you can see that he clearly does it for fun and as the series develops, so does the story and the characters. He definitely deserves a tip, commission or a deal. I definitely recommend you take a look at the following sample of his work and engage with Quaro’s content.
No spoilers: Jerry - the Master of Kang-Fa follows Jerry, the comic's chief protagonist and central character (at the moment), follow him through a humorous journey of love, loss and conflict. Quaro also provides an addendum or commentary at the beginning or the end of each of the tales, which acts as a recap or prelude of what's to come and provides additional (albeit witty) context that keeps us wanting more or to know what happens next.
Title: Jerry - the Master of Kang-Fa. Episode 1, Episode 4 and Louis - the Master of Kang-Fa and Episode 6 - Source Quaro

Welcome to Jerry, the Master of Kang-Fa! The most clueless, non-sense, bad-written, bad-drawn and epic comic on Publish0x! Equally non-sense author commentary at the end of the episode. - Quaro

Comedy and humour
Richard F. Yates - Wow, what can I say! Anyone that tries to be fun on paper and succeeds deserves a medal. However, Peter's not just funny, he’s a creative with an abstract sense of humour - I mean he does call his blog ‘Art for Weirdos’. Richard describes himself as an ‘...artist, author, poet, editor and critic…’ from the Pacific Northwest, and loves reclaiming cardboard with Sharpies. His posts offer a mixture of creative writing, postcards and drawings. Richard only has 11 followers and his highest post has been tipped $0.18, but his talent, wit and humour deserves so much more. I appreciate his humour might not be to everyone's taste but if you get it I'm sure you'll spot his genius, if not, I'm sure you'll appreciate his craft and skill.

Support independent folks who are just making stuff because they love! - Richard Yates
To be fair, I could quite easily have featured Richard in the Arts section above. We can tell he's a true artist because he seems to reclaim and re-purpose everyday objects around him, or provide an abstract form of social commentary in the form of postcards. Again, as with the other contributors listed, we can see that he has a passion for his purpose rather than art for arts sake.

Well, ladies and gents, that’s it for now, depending on how’s it’s received I’d like to continue to shine a light on some of the great hidden talents on Publish0x. While I love the cryptoverse, there’s so much more to Publish0x than just crypto, and many various types of contributor. I am in no way criticising those who promote cryptocurrencies, I applaud them and anyone who put's themselves out there while publishing good quality content, rather I am trying to shine a light on some of the other wonders that Publish0x has to offer us. Please take a look if you can and perhaps give them a generous tip.
I hope you’ve enjoyed the post.
