I believe I had very good progress this week in terms of my SPS goals this week compared to last week. The main reason was that I was able to sell some of my Voucher holdings and convert them to SPS. That's another additional source to increase my SPS along with all the other sources I had. I'm glad that my SPS power is slowly and gradually increasing and soon I will be able to complete my SPS goals and start creating new Splinterlands goals.
There were other exciting announcements from Splinterlands in the last week. There were two major changes one being changes to the earnings from playing and another being a small fee for listing our cards for rental. Though the fee introduction was a little skeptical move as many people think I personally think that it can be a good move too. Anything that burns the game tokens is definitely a good move I should say. Reducing the supply of the existing tokens is a great move because people would be able to see an increase in the value of their assets if the token price increases.
100k SPS
This is my primary goal right now to reach 100k SPS. Every week I'm progressing very well and I'm able to add more than 1000 SPS per week to the SPS power. This week I was able to add more than 1000 SPS because I got a chance to sell my Vouchers in bulk and that gained me a good amount of SPS to power up. I also think that in the coming months, the price of SPS would start pumping very well because of the fact that SPS is going to be listed on some exchanges, and in addition to that DEC is getting a new burn facility or a new sink-in the form of rental listing fees.
I initially thought that the rental listing fees is going to be affecting only the DEC market but later I thought that if the price of DEC improves, that would indirectly improve the price and demand for SPS as well. The exchange listing is also an awesome move because that would create more liquidity for people and they would be able to directly cash out from the exchanges. This can also indirectly be a good thing for Hive as well. But we will see this all happening only after we observe how this all goes.
I'm definitely excited about all these new changes that are happening in the splinterlands world. Maybe after a month or so, I would compare how the rental markets are performing and slowly start playing the game again. It has been a while since I played the game and I'm not even keeping up with the game updates but now it looks like a good opportunity to start playing again. Maybe I will not personally spend time playing the game but would hire someone who would be interested to play my account. I still believe the game mechanics and gameplay have not changed much and it shouldn't be very hard to catch up.
