Splinterlands - Best strategy to use your cards to the fullest

Splinterlands is a very good source of income. If we plan it well it can even be a good source of passive income too. One of the best things I like about splinterlands is the fact that it favors both players as well as investors. The team is continuously developing and amusing the players with new releases. Even though I thought the CL packs brought some downtrend to the game, the actual gaming experience did not get affected much.

To some point, we have to agree that CL packs had so much liquidity and many old players struggled to adapt to the new strategy. For the new players, it turned out to be a good fortune. The main reason is that people started making good collections or decks out of CL cards alone. I initially started collecting some of the cards but then later I couldn't spend enough time managing my cards in the game.

I stopped playing splinterlands a few months back. I used to play the game with one deck and I was renting out another deck. I have to agree that rental markets also brought some great fortune. Today after the CL packs got introduced and when people started opening packs and started getting some great cards, the rewards from the rental market started slowing down. People are able to get some important CL cards cheap in the market instead of investing in rental markets.

Another reason why the rental market is going down is that there is now more supply than demand. Many players are renting their cards in the market compared to the number of players playing the game. The best strategy one can follow to use the cards to the fullest would be to rent the cards out in the market at the right time and also play the game at the right time. Some top players are following this strategy. They play the game for the first 10 days and start planning to rent after they have reached the league they planned. If they know for a fact that they are safe to reach the league and top-level they want, they cancel their renting a few hours before the season end reaping the benefit of both playing as well as the rental market.

This strategy is definitely not very easy to implement. It takes a lot of cards in your collection to safeguard both the league rewards and rental benefits. I used to play the game as well as rent my cards and get two-income. I used to keep the most used cards reserved for playing the game and the remaining cards in the market. When collection power becomes an important criterion, I used to just keep the cards that are anyway not going to give me good rental income. Probably the level 1 cards are something that won't help much with rentals. I keep all those cards to increase the collection power and rent out the remaining.

In the last few seasons, the rental income has considerably reduced. I have not thought of any alternative yet. My friend from the real world wanted to explore Splinterlands when I explained this to him. Probably I might let him play my account and see if I'm lucky by any chance.
