Some people might have this perspective that money can buy us anything and if we have money in our life, we should be able to have anything in this world. That's not true. We cannot get a healthy body and healthy mind with just money alone. But what is greater than money? I would say that knowledge is a most important thing than money. It is not my own perspective but many people believe that knowledge is very important and money alone will not make someone happy.
We might have come across many people around us who have lots of money with them but they don't have a life. They would not have any meaning in their life. I recently watched a Tamil movie called "Thozah" that had a story where there was a paralyzed businessman with lots of money with him. But it was hard for him to have the happiness he needs in his life.
We can compare this with so many examples. It is like teaching someone the power of math. But teaching them only addition and not multiplication would make their life miserable. If we need an answer for 50 times 10, without multiplication, the person would be writing 10 on a board 50 times and would be adding them one by one and coming up with the answer. This is the same with financial knowledge as well.
If a poor person is given a million dollars today, maybe today he might look rich but if he lacks the financial management skills or the financial knowledge, he might get back to his poor state within a few months by spending the million dollars on something that is not right. Only a few people born poor might have the flare to die rich. But imagine the amount of knowledge they would have accumulated throughout their life. That's the key to success in my opinion.
Both money and knowledge
I might have said in the title that knowledge is more important than money which is in a way true, I would like to say that to be very successful, a person would need both money as well as knowledge. Some people might even include power as the next criterion but with money power automatically comes. In order to enhance the quality of life someone is having, they need money in their life. If they just have the money and if they are not wise, they would lose the hard-earned money.
Sometimes people would be hard-working but they may not be gifted with the power of knowledge to do smart work. With hard work alone, there won't be a success. People need hard work as well as smart working and similarly, both money as well as knowledge about money is important to be successful in our life. Maybe as the title says, we can give more weightage to knowledge because with the knowledge we can probably get money but with money alone, it is hard to get the knowledge we want.
