Splinterland's: Best time to invest is now.
I was surprised this week when one of my affiliates joined the game on October 2022, and bought the Summoner spellbook. When I tried to look at the game stats of the player, I found that affiliate only played 4 matches till now. These stats confused me that after almost a gap of 8 months with only 4 battles played, what are the reasons for purchasing Summoner Spellbook? 4 battles do not look me a lot of battles to make the decision.
But when I thought more deeply and try to scrape more information around that particular account, I guess I got the idea why the Spellbook is purchased now but not earlier and how my first notion that "Summoner Spellbook" is for playing only not able to explain the number of battle played.
Summoner Spellbook utility is not only limited to having battles in the game but it is the prerequisite to take part in Splinterland's ecosystem whether you want to take part in Splinterland's events like "Year 5 DEC Burning Event" or you want to stake the SPS to earn the APR on your SPS stash or buying the packs from the site etc.
In short Summoner Spellbook is required to perform any economic activity in the Splinterverse .
This is the time to invest.
The burning event is now going to be over in the next few hours and it almost burned over 378 million DEC and over 161 million DEC B and this burn definitely helped to reach near to its peg but still it is trading lower than the peg.
So at the current time, SPS (Game governance token) will remain under the radar until the DEC does not breach its peg and it looks like the best bet to accumulate SPS for the long term. Since DEC is still 15% under peg and I see the continuous efforts and proposal so that DEC can reach its peg so I guess those who are looking for a short term most probably will get the 15% return in DEC in the next 6 months.
As a player.
if you are a player who can invest some capital then this looks the perfect time to enjoy the game and build up the deck. As I already mentioned, SPS is currently down, so it might disappoint you as per rewards earned currently but in the future, these rewards will be worth your time, and you have built a great deck at cheap prices.
