Kolejny dzień upałów, nawet w cieniu nie ma wytchnienia

Another obscenely warm day this summer. Basically, there is nothing to complain about, because the whole year has been exceptionally warm, and it all started in February, where the temperature was above zero almost the entire month.

Kolejny nieprzyzwoicie ciepły dzień tego lata. W zasadzie to nie ma co narzekać, bo cały ten rok jest wyjątkowo ciepły, a wszystko zaczęło się już w lutym, gdzie praktycznie cały miesiąc była dodatnia temperatura.

Still, a walk in the park was a chore today. It was pouring out of me mercilessly, and if it weren't for the hat, I would probably have had a stroke. That's why I spent most of today's walking day by the water. At least the perceived temperature was much lower there.

Niemniej spacer po parku był dzisiaj udręką. Lało się ze mnie niemiłosiernie, i gdyby nie czapka, to pewnie dostałbym udaru. Dlatego tez większość dzisiejszego spacerowego dnia spędziłem nad wodą. Tam była przynajmniej znacznie nższa odczuwalna temperatura.

Young water hens appeared on the runway. Two months ago they had white beaks, today they are red. It's a sign of adulthood. They don't care about walkers or cyclists. They walk wherever they like.

Pojawiły się na wybiegu młode kurki wodne. Jeszcze dwa miesiące temu miały białe dzioby, dzisiaj już są czerwone. To oznaka dorosłości. Nie przejmują się spacerowiczami, ani rowerzystami. Spacerują tam gdzie im się podoba.
