Crypto Cooking - The Stakes Are High With My Steaks

Cooking and crypto have more in common than you'd think. Both require the right ingredients, good timing, a bit of experimentation and the ability to stay calm when everything starts going sideways.

The market can butcher your emotions faster than a steak hits a hot pan, while the kitchen is all about getting that perfect balance of juicy steak, beautifully roasted vegetables, crispy edges and mouthwatering flavour. #

The stakes are high, both in the market and at the dinner table! Just like in crypto, sometimes you follow the recipe perfectly and still end up with something that looks like a failed experiment.

Today, I'm putting steak and roasted vegetables on the menu and turning dinner into a comedy show. Let's hope my cooking skills perform better than some of my trades!

Forget charts, candles, and liquidations for a moment. Today, the only thing I'm watching is the steak hitting the perfect medium-rare. My investment came from the supermarket rather than a crypto portfolio.

Proper rump steak with beautiful fat marbling, ready to deliver maximum flavour without overcomplicating things. My strategy? Keep it simple. A hot pan, a good sear, medium-rare in the middle!

Just salt and freshly cracked black pepper on top. No fancy sauces, no unnecessary extras. When the meat is good, let the steak do the talking.

On the side, I went Mediterranean with oven-roasted vegetables: onions, aubergines, courgettes, and peppers, all tossed in olive oil and herbs before heading into the oven.

Let them soften, caramelise, and develop those delicious roasted flavours. Simple ingredients, properly prepared, doing exactly what they're supposed to do.

The result? A juicy steak, colourful vegetables, and a plate with more substance than some of my recent crypto investments. In crypto, timing is everything.

Too early and you're missing the action; too late and you're eating losses. With steak, though, medium-rare is where I put my conviction.

Today's portfolio is protein, olive oil, and a little Mediterranean magic. No gas fees, no slippage, and absolutely no chance of getting liquidated halfway through dinner.

Just good food and a reminder that sometimes the best returns come from keeping things simple. What's your preferred steak doneness: rare, medium-rare, or well-done?
