ME, RECENTLY
I've been a little inactive on Publish0x (and Steemit) recently; I think recent events and lack of outside job success have got to a lot of people, and I've been left somewhat unmotivated for the past few months; in fact all of the posts I've posted so far onto Publish0x have just been ones I'd already uploaded onto Steemit, and the last time I regularly posted on there was perhaps 3 months ago.
While I don't wish to write anything in stone, I'm happy to say that I now fully intend to start regular blog work again, and I hope you enjoy it! In the spirit of the Spartans I so admire, as you may be able to tell - let's never give up on what we love doing! :)
PLAN OF ACTION
My blog plan now is to cover the reign of the Achaemenid kings up to Darius I, and then get back into Greek history by looking at the infamous Persian Wars; so pretty soon I'll be getting into blogs on famous battles like Marathon, Salamis, Plataea and, yes, the legendary last stand of the 300 Spartans at Thermopylae.
From there: the Athenian "Wooden Wall" empire, the Peloponnesian Wars, The Boeotian War, the rise of Macedon, Alexander the Great, and - somewhere down the line - the greatest empire in world history, and my true passion and specialty above all else: ROME.
BOOK PUBLISHING?
It's also my intent to look into book publishing once I feel I'm ready; I think I at least want to finish the blogs up to the end of the Persian Wars, because I feel like all the blogs I've done then, with much more added detail in between, could be a worthy set of subjects to put together to work into a book. It will be my first time doing so, but I think when I'm ready and with a bit of publicity, it could work.
