Gods Unchained Mobile is finally here!
As of February 29th, GU Mobile is available on Google Play and the Apple App Store worldwide.
The launch of Gods Unchained Mobile marks another significant milestone in the game's journey, building on previous achievements like its introduction to Amazon Prime Gaming, and its re-listing on the Epic Games Store.
If you are unfamiliar with Gods Unchained, it is a free-to-play tactical card game offering players true ownership of their digital cards, as each is an NFT, able to be sold or used as desired.
The blockchain-based game originally launched on the Ethereum network back in 2018 and still going strong to this day, which is a feat by itself when compared to most blockchain/NFT games.

According to the Executive Producer, Daniel Paez, Gods Unchained Mobile has been in the works for many years, going through multiple development teams.
Last year, Immutable Games Studio partnered with iLogos to complete the development on the GU mobile game.
GU Mobile will utilize the Immutable Passport, which went live this past December, and allows users to play without having to setup a Web3 wallet.
New Gods Unchained players can now easily create an account with only an email address, making access that much easier and seamless.

There are many roadblocks when developing a mobile application for a Web3 game, like security concerns, blockchain integrations, and regulatory compliance.
One of the most challenging obstacles for Immutable Games was Apple's store policy requiring mobile applications to be identical to the Web3 game that exists on all other platforms.
Since GU Mobile does not have all the full features of the desktop version of Gods Unchained yet, it has been described as a "companion app" instead of a complete game.
Immutable Games states they will continue to develop the mobile app until it is a fully fledged Gods Unchained experience, indistinguishable from the PC version.
