AT&T on a slump, good time to buy

By steverobert | wealth concepts | 25 Apr 2023

I'm a dividend reinvestment style trader.

With that said I'm looking at AT&T (T), they dropped below $18 and are normally around $20.

I like dividend royalty like AT&T, at todays price of $17.61 they pay a 6.33% dividend.

That's $1.11 annual dividend.

So why buy? The price is below their normal trading range, so there is a good chance that it will rise back to $20.

In the mean time you collect the quarterly dividends and should reinvest the dividends to increase your position to collect more dividends in the future.

My last dividend pay $146 from 965 shares. I added over 7 shares to add to my position to provide more dividends.

02/01/2023  14:19:56   QUALIFIED DIVIDEND (T)     146.13   0.00   0.00           02/01/2023  15:42:32   Bought 7.171 T @ 20.3785     -146.13   0.00   0.00

I didn't start with 965 shares. I've been holding it a while and have been adding shares every quarter and plan to use the dividends for income in retirement.

You can start with as little as 1 share and add as you can afford to. If you don't start investing you will never have investments. To sit on money waiting for the best time to invest is letting your money waste away with inflation being as high as it is.
