There once was a man with a knack,

For wearing a hat on his back.

He walked with a strut,

With hat high and up,

And never once did he look back.

He'd go to the store, to buy cheese,

And to everyone, he'd loudly say "Please!"

He'd point to his hat, And give it a pat,

And say "Hold my hat, if you please!"

The cheese man, he'd shake his head,

And give him a look full of dread.

But the man with the hat,

Would simply tip it back,

And say "Don't mind me, I'm just having a chat!"

So if you see a man on the street,

With a hat that can't be beat,

Just give him a smile, And chat for a while,

And he'll tip his hat, with two feet.
