It's 16°F here in southern Illinois this morning. Not to bad if your vehicle has decent heat.
The heater in my truck struggles to keep up, but I'm thankful that it does.
The alternator light came on as I was heading to work. Thankfully, I made out to a parts place and got a new one.
I was going to my boss's shed to change the alternator so I wouldn't have to stand out in the wind and cold to do it. I decided instead to go to a service center to see about them installing it. My truck cut off in the parking lot. I am thankful that I made it that far and that they could take care of it.
I used to get angry or at least upset when things like this happened. Then one day I was running a few minutes late and came upon an accident that I surely would have been in had I been on time.
Now any time I get stuck behind a slow car on a country road I may still get a little activated, but I'm at the same time thankful because the slowdown may be keeping me from something much, much worse.
