The Brave Browser, a Blockchain Internet tool focused in privacy and security has been auto-completing websites with their affiliate links.
The "erroneous" move from Brave Team was spotter by a Twitter User who published his findings on the social platform that was prompted answered by the Brave Founder Brendan Eich who called the incident "a mistake that is already been corrected" and added that the Browser is a Binance Affiliate (the autocomplete referral codes was mostly directed to Binance websites) but that must not force users to use their links when signup from this sites!

While the "error" have been corrected and, as a Brave User I hope it, but also more concerns come along with the Github repositories showing that the auto complete also happens from websites owned by Trezor, Ledger and Coinbase, which the Brave Team also responded that will remove all those "inconvenience" attached to the Brave browser!
This is a huge "erroneous" attempt from the Brave Browser Team, that looking for what have been said until now, they knew about this auto-complete feature since the beginning and was just leaving it to benefit from users, but breaking the main function of the Brave Ecosystem: privacy, security, no trackers, no malware, blocking ads consequently no suggests for sites as Affiliate!
Brave signed a partnership with Binance that allows Users that use the Blockchain Browser to buy and sell crypto using the direct widget from Binance without need to leave the dashboard browser and I believe those auto complete started right there and it's oblivious a reason that CZ keep addressing the Browser! Imagine how many users the crypto exchange get just coming from Brave with those "forced" affiliate links?!
Recently the Browser announced a substantial increase in the monthly active users to 15 million adding a astonishing 1,500.000 only in April and May.
Being a Brave User I believe that the situation can still be corrected very soon and keep the ecosystem more secure than ever, it's their first huge mistake let's see what in coming days will be released by the Team concerning the issue!
