British Virgin Islands Launch their Digital Currency in Partnership with LIFElabs.io. 

The Digital Currency will substitute the US Dollar that has been used In the Country for the last 60 years, and when it goes live will be pegged 1:1 with the US Dollar. 

The British Virgin Islands is a territory that receive Tourists,the transactions using the BVI~Life (name of the coin)  will cost less in transactions fees and the Archipelago Government will  release more details about the project.

LIFElabs.io will also open a Fund based In Blockchain that will support the Government in case of calamity In the Archipelago.

It seems Central Bank Digital currency (CBDC) are getting Hugely adopted and China is the most robust economy In this Field that plan to replace the Yuan with an digital Coin and recently one more strong economy in the Europe, France is planning to Test their CBDC in 2020.
