As I was reading about cryptocurrency today, I came across this article: https://www.benzinga.com/markets/cryptocurrency/24/10/41212008/trump-considers-robinhood-exec-dan-gallagher-for-sec-chair-if-re-elected
For the specific details about the article please read. What I find fascinating about this is how could it work? I mean, it sounds good in theory and the article points out Mr., Gallagher is a former SEC Commissioner. Would it be a real win for cryptocurrency?
Sometimes the grass is not always greener on the other side, but Mr. Gensler has not been pro crypto, and appears to be anti-crypto by his actions. I mean the SEC did nothing to help cryptocurrency along, and when the SEC appeared to get the proverbial "egg on it's face" following the FTX debacle, it decided to, as I like to say "Crack down all willy nilly like" on random cryptocurrencies. I say it like that because it is silly what the SEC is doing, even in the face of losing (at least partially) the initial XRP decision in the summer of 2023.
Oh, what a change will do for the better (is my guess) if the esteemed Mr. Gensler is out as SEC Chair.
I know cryptocurrency is not the only reason to vote, but by behaviors, not words, it appears President Trump will be better for cryptocurrency if elected.
