I have to say the thought of Ripple and XRP being two different things, and one not really affecting the other is nothing I had ever really considered until recently.
I came across this article: https://crypto.news/most-of-ripples-bank-partners-never-touch-xrp-here-is-the-real-problem/
Now, the first thought I had, the first concern that it brought up was if Ripple does not really use XRP, then why would anyone else?
Seriously, what good is XRP if Ripple does not use it. As the article states, Ripple is used or works with over 300 banks. If those 300 banks do not use or incorporate XRP, is XRP a so called "dead man walking?"
Now, I am not a defeatist, and do not believe XRP is dead, or dying, but this does raise a major concern for me.
Here is something that I believe is true, and will govern the future of cryptocurrency. If there is no use, it will go away. I see you Doge and Shiba Inu.
SO, there does appear to be a use case for XRP, just not really with Ripple at this point.
Man, I hope I am not being Pollyannaish about it. That article is the first time I have had a crack in my faith about the future of XRP.
I am HODL'ing, I hope that is not the wrong decision since I am above water on my investment of XRP.
Now, none of what I wrote is intended to be investment advice, I do not know enough to provide investment advice. It is simply my thoughts and concerns about XRP as we sit here today.
Here's to the Future!
