I have been following the SEC and how it has been handling cryptocurrency for awhile now. I wrote about this case a few months ago, where the SEC was accused of a gross abuse of power in a case against cryptocurrency.
Now, this month two SEC lawyers were apparently told they would be fired if they did not resign> Her are more details: https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2024-04-22/sec-lawyers-resign-after-judge-blasts-agency-for-abuse-of-power-in-crypto-case
Although my article is titled more good news, it is in some ways, but in others the two lawyers are scapegoats for a generally biased SEC when it comes to cryptocurrency.
I am afraid that this will not go far enough to put the SEC on a level and fair playing field when it comes to cryptocurrency. We will see how things play out, will the SEC go after Ethereum? Will it win the appeal against Ripple?
I think things will play out generally in the favor of reasonable crypto regulation in the long run, with a lot of bumps and bruises along the way.
